Jen has always felt passionate about nature. She grew up in Wisconsin, but when she was 6 years old, she fell in love with marine biology. She followed that path all the way to graduating from university with a Biology degree, with emphases on coral reef ecology and environmental
studies.

Once she graduated, Jen began searching for a place by the ocean to begin her career. A job on Maui materialized, and although she had never visited Hawai’i, 2 weeks later she moved here and has never looked back! That was over 20 years ago.

Although she always thought she would be a researcher, somewhere along the way she also fell in love with teaching others, sharing stories and passing on inspirational knowledge about Hawai’i and its culture.

Jen has been fortunate to have many adventures through work while on Maui. She brought Maui’s youth to the outdoors on experiential education programs, worked for non-profits helping endangered sea turtles and seals, dove with sharks and rays on a daily basis, and worked in the tourism industry leading snorkel tours, sailing trips and whale watches. Jen is a Scuba Dive Master and boat woman – and loves to spend as much time as possible under, on or in the water. She loves hiking and camping in all the beautiful areas of Hawai’i, and feels forever grateful to live on this island and to share awesome places with our guests.
