Awapuhi Ginger
The Awapuhi (also known as shampoo ginger) is a ginger plant not native to Maui, and like you, it traveled a long way to enjoy all Maui’s volcanic earth has to offer. Unlike Awapuhi, which had to rely on its own roots to experience the island, you‘ll have a friendly companion to lead your tours and adventures on the island in a natural, environmentally-conscious manner.
The Hawaiian Honu
The Hawaiian Honu (sea turtle) symbolizes longevity, safety, and Mana (spiritual power) and is regarded as a link between land, sea, and humanity. The Honu represents good fortune and peace. Furthermore, many Hawaiians revere the Honu as their 'aumakua (ancestral spirit guide) whose guidance protects and supports them throughout life.
